Larson Packaging Company is committed to maintaining the highest cybersecurity standards as a contractor in the Defense Industrial Base. We comply with the current DFARS requirements and align with NIST SP 800-171 standards. Additionally, we continue to enhance our cybersecurity posture as we progress toward Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) readiness.

ITAR Registered

Larson Packaging Company is ITAR registered. The International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is a set of U.S. government regulations that control the export and import of defense-related articles, services, and related technical data. ITAR registered companies must register and keep their registration current with the Department of State’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC), which oversees the US Munitions List (USML).

ROHS and Reach-Mindful Production

Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) is a European Union (EU) directive restricting the use of 10 hazardous substances such as lead and mercury in electrical and electronic equipment to control e-waste and protect human health. We’ve made following this directive part of our everyday design efforts and have the design capabilities to work in any material and achieve these goals. Our raw materials do not contain these substances and our manufacturing processes do not add them. Our packaging meets the standards set by RoHS.

Additionally, our packaging meets the regulated requirements of the EU’s REACH- 235 SVHCs (Substances of Very High Concern) list set out by the European Chemicals Agency.

OCP Community Leadership

As a member of the Open Compute Project (OCP) community, we bring deep innovation and technical packaging expertise to the design and deployment of solutions for hyperscalers, AI companies, Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs), and Contract Manufacturers (CMs).

We’ve been leading the way in developing high-performance rack crates and packaging solutions since 2012, and our special focus is AI, high-density computing, and liquid cooled environments. We specialize in efficient, scalable, and sustainable systems that exceed the rigorous expectations of hyperscalers. Our toolless crate design saves significant labor hours during ODM build-out and final data center deployment where space is a constraint—loading and unloading.

We continue to explore advanced, sustainable materials and cutting-edge technologies with other OCP members to enhance shock and vibration protection and our involvement in the community is a natural extension of our core business — solving complex logistics problems for the world’s leading data center operators.
