One tiny piece of dust, micro scratch or inappropriate off-gassing can render a laser or optic device useless. This means the packaging that transports it must be built to exacting standards.
The packaging requirements can also range from a small foam and box solution all the way up to large crates with specialized shock and vibration dampeners and electrostatic discharge (ESD) foam packaging.
We are accustomed to designing and manufacturing packaging to support extremely sensitive, fragile, and odd-shaped equipment.
Our packaging engineers can advise whether a crate, hybrid crate, ATA case, or molded case is the best for your cargo, design and manufacture foams to high-precision tolerances to ensure delicate components maintain their alignment and calibration all the way to the destination and even suggest special foams that don’t have any off-gassing properties that could potentially cloud (and damage) laser optics.
Our manufacturing capabilities include crates, corrugated and plastic boxes, foam cushioning fabrication and foam and wire rope isolators. We even provide dust-free and cleanable packaging solutions suitable for cleanrooms.
We also are one of the USA’s few full technical dealers for Pelican-Hardigg cases and an authorized technical dealer of SKB Cases with the in-house know-how to customize hard cases and design an integrated packaging system for multi-item equipment.
